My name is Jaime M. Contreras, but you can refer to me as Don Jaime. I am the crazed or not-so-crazed “man behind the curtain”. My goal is to provide monthly blogs reflecting on the month ahead or the past month.
As you may note by visiting my family website, my older blogs stopped after I met my wife in 2006. I am happy to be back and will add posts on family life now. My Captain JC blog will be limited to blog postings related to the music industry (see 2024 Update below).
2012 Update: To standardize my approach to posting updates, I have chosen the following approximate dates for posting going forward:
January – New Year’s / MLK Birthday
May 5th – in honor of my Mexican heritage
July 4th – in honor of my American heritage
November – Veteran’s Day / Thanksgiving
2024 Update: The family website information above has been updated. The original Captain JC link above was to a MySpace site that no longer exists so I updated the link to an archive of blogs at Blogger. My blogs now are on Tumblr and include one for showbiz361 (my reports on politics, health and sports teams I follow) and CaptainJC (media entertainment such as TV, movies and music). I will apply the holiday guidance noted in 2012 to at least post once a quarter per year. I am also doing governance and cyber risk consulting after hours and weekends as JC1_GRC. Likewise, Mucy has a site to promote her Cricut Creations.
